Whoa, the performance is very tight, even if the recording isn't the greatest.
The guitarist is really fantastic and the drums and bass are holding their own as well.
Needs a bit of polish, but I'm really quite impressed.

Ok first, my interest was piqued by a cover of "The Extremist". I LOVE Satriani. He's my favorite guitar instrumentalist. People can argue and will, over technique, speed etc. Personally, great for everyone. Satriani is skilled yes, and has speed, and some may feel others have more or less. But Satriani touches my soul with his music~he understands emotion and that music is meant to tap into it (e.g. blues, rock/metal w/aggression and pure ventillation, soft music with tender and gentle emotion etc). He just "gets" music. So I was like, what is this guy gonna do for the music. You "got" it. You understand why each note is where it is and you played it very well. A lot of covers are done like coloring to numbers. Why cover something if you are just playing it right off the sheet music and just matching note to note. Feel it. Get into that musician, artist's place and you will know it like they might have. That is what you did. Great job.

I never got into Satriani much, but I like the energy and ability displayed on this recording.
(Tell the truth, was all the "backing parts" from a pre-recorded track?)
I do assume that's YOUR lead ride. But honestly, did you do the rest of it too?

Ah... The Extremist... My Fav all-time Satriani track!!!
I am not dissapointed here... & I have to completely agree with Seddie - my feelings are much the same as hers.
Clearly you have done this with your own attitued an stylisation & it serves you well giving the piece a nice edge.
With this level of playing it is more than forgivable to look past recording equipment & the arrangement is there - it would be really nice to hear this re-mastered if you get your hands on some new recording equipment... I for one will be back for that!!!
Nice One!!!
